Terms of Service

TRAINR (the "Platform") is a curated coach collective that connects athletes ("Athletes") with independent personal trainers ("Coaches") in Switzerland. The Platform is operated by Streetonaut by Saugy (Einzelunternehmen), Stockenweg 35, 8906 Bonstetten, Switzerland.

TRAINR is an intermediary, not a service provider. Personal training services are offered and delivered solely by Coaches as independent professionals. The booking contract is concluded directly between Athlete and Coach. TRAINR is not a party to that contract.

• You must be at least 18 years old to register. Under-18s require their legal guardian to register and book on their behalf.
• You provide accurate information, keep your credentials secret, and are responsible for activity on your account.
• We may suspend or close accounts that violate these Terms or applicable law.

• Coaches sign up via the "I'm a Coach" path. New coach profiles start as pending and become bookable only after manual review by TRAINR, plus successful Stripe identity verification (KYC).
• Coaches confirm they are legally allowed to provide personal training in Switzerland (self-employed registration, applicable certifications, valid liability insurance).
• Coaches are responsible for their own taxes, social security (AHV/IV), VAT (if applicable above CHF 100,000 annual revenue), and compliance with health & safety standards.
• Featured / verified badges reflect editorial assessment by TRAINR and may be revoked at any time.

• Prices are set by Coaches and displayed inclusive of all applicable taxes, in line with the Swiss Price Indication Ordinance (PBV).
• Athletes pay at booking via Stripe (card, TWINT, Apple Pay or Google Pay where supported). TRAINR collects payment as a payment-facilitator via Stripe Connect.
• For sessions and classes offered by a Coach, TRAINR retains a 10% platform fee. The remaining 90% is paid out automatically by Stripe to the Coach's bank account, typically 3 to 4 business days after the payment (the first payout of a new account can take up to 7 days). Classes offered by a Gym are covered in section 5.
• Sessions held within 1 hour of a booking cannot be booked through the Platform.

• Gyms and studios ("Gyms") register with a separate Gym account. A Gym profile is published once the subscription is active and the Gym has entered a valid address.
• Subscription: CHF 99 per month, no setup fee. It is charged in advance by card via Stripe and renews automatically every month. On request, TRAINR can invoice three months in advance instead.
• Cancellation: the Gym can cancel at any time in the Stripe customer portal, effective at the end of the current billing month. Amounts already paid for the current month are not refunded.
• Failed payments: while a payment is outstanding, the Gym profile and its classes are hidden from the Platform. They become visible again once the payment succeeds.
• Classes: Gyms set their own class prices. Athletes pay through the Platform; TRAINR retains a 15% platform fee per class booking and the remaining 85% is paid out by Stripe to the Gym's connected account. Paid classes can be offered only once the Gym has connected a Stripe account. The cancellation rules in section 6 apply to class bookings.
• Coaches at a Gym: a Coach appears on a Gym profile only when both the Gym and the Coach have confirmed the link, either as a team coach of the Gym or as an independent coach who trains there. In both cases Coaches use their own accounts and keep their profile, prices and bookings; the label does not create an employment relationship. Personal training they offer at the Gym is booked and paid with the Coach (section 4); the Gym receives no share of it and pays no fee on it. The Gym or the Coach can end the link at any time; sessions and class dates already booked take place as planned.

• By the Athlete: free cancellation up to 24 hours before the session start, with a full refund via Stripe. Cancellations 24 hours or less before the start are not refunded; a pack credit used for such a session is consumed. The same applies to group classes.
• Session packs: a pack can be refunded within 14 days of purchase as long as no session from it has been used or booked (95% of the price; 5% processing fee). After that, or once a session has been used, packs are not refundable.
• By the Coach: Coaches may cancel for legitimate reasons (illness, emergency). Athletes receive a full refund and are notified by email.
• No-show: if an Athlete does not show up to a confirmed session, the Coach may keep the session fee in accordance with these Terms.
• Refunds are credited via Stripe within 5–10 business days, minus payment-processing fees that Stripe does not reimburse.

• Reviews must be truthful, based on a completed session, and free of discriminatory or defamatory content. TRAINRmay remove reviews that violate these standards.
• Harassment, abusive behaviour, off-platform solicitation to avoid platform fees, or fraudulent activity are prohibited and may result in immediate account termination.
• Coaches must respect Athletes' physical limits and obtain informed consent for any contact-based training techniques.

You retain ownership of content you upload (profile photos, bio, reviews, etc.) but grant TRAINR a worldwide, royalty-free, non-exclusive licence to display and distribute it on the Platform. The TRAINR brand, design and code are owned by the operator and may not be copied without permission.

TRAINR is not liable for the quality, safety, outcomes or injuries arising from training sessions. Coaches are independent professionals; their liability for their services is their own.

TRAINR's liability towards Athletes and Coaches is limited to direct damages caused by gross negligence or intent on the part of TRAINR, and in any case capped at the total platform fees paid by the affected user in the 12 months preceding the event. Liability for indirect, consequential, punitive or lost-profit damages is excluded to the extent permitted by Swiss law.

We strongly recommend Athletes carry personal accident insurance. Coaches confirm at registration that they carry professional liability insurance (Berufshaftpflicht) covering their training activity.

You may delete your account at any time via the support contact below. TRAINR may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, with reasonable notice unless immediate termination is required for legal, safety or fraud reasons. Open bookings at termination will be cancelled and refunded.

We may update these Terms as the platform evolves. Material changes are notified by email to registered users at least 30 days before taking effect. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.

These Terms are governed by Swiss law, excluding conflict-of-law rules and the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods (CISG). Exclusive place of jurisdiction for all disputes is Zurich, Switzerland, subject to any mandatory consumer-protection venue rules.
